Memmons Journey

It is now the twenty-sixth century - the age of king Tewa the fifth, Eleventh Mugghee of Earth. The year when the sister comets blazed the sky. Two thirds of his world is covered in ice. The planets sparse population, of less than four million huddled, in the few small primitive cities that still exist around the cold but unfrozen equator. The human race is almost extinct. But for a traveler named Memmon extinction is not an option. She is alone on a quest to find a deliverer - demigod from the old world. A legend that is said to rest within the dead territories, where none live and few will go. She seeks a mythical man who sleeps deep beneath the ice in a place that has been forgotten. She searches for the "Master of the world", REX-X1, the last Trudeaux and to find him she must travel to a place called "Purgatory"...

Memmon Atrusk was born in the city of Klimbooreg, the daughter of a miner who carved out her life in the mines of Spog-bor, but for Memmon their lay a different destiny. Her fate is her belief in a strange forbidden society known as the bossee and their deity Tyrus Trudeaux. They believe that hundreds of years ago demigods (men and women of divine nature) ruled the earth, but were all destroyed in the war with the Ghehod...all but a few. The great Tyrus fearing the defeat of mankind, buried his chief war gods within the belly of the earth, hidden beneath the ice asleep in a mystical place called purgatory. It is said that a Bossee traveler will find this place one day and set the demigods free and in doing so save humanity itself. Memmon is a Bossee scholar, the librarian of this secret societies hidden archives and she believes she is this traveler. She is willing to risk her very life to find him because she believes she knows exactly where he is...

She walks the death trail in much the way that many of her sisters did before her, through the Moolb'dee plains and the mountains of the dead territories. This foreboding vast landscape devoid of growth is not life...dangerous life. Transplant lifeforms from other worlds, genetic mishaps from ages past and cannibalistic feral males all dwell in the harsh forbidden lands. Most in her order never return from this pilgrimage into the ice covered void, but Memmon knows exactly where she is going. Her aunt Nomena made her journey years ago. One of the revered few to ever make their way back. Half dead and dying from the quest she whispered a secret to her niece of a cave that lead to a place and how to find it.

Purgatory

Memmon enters the vast underground complex known in legend as "Purgatory" - built over 500 years ago by Tyrus Trudeaux - the "X1 Base" (as it was then called) was designed in secret to hold Earth's government leaders and up to one-third of the world population in stasis in the event of a global catastrophe.

However, in an act of cruelty it holds only one...

Memmon only knows fragments of the ancient past but this is more than most for she is a bossee and it is more than religious conviction that move her and the sisters of her order, it is the salvation of mankind.

The bossee are a forbidden rogue military regime also known as the sisterhood of Tyrus. They are an elusive group of militant caste laborers made up of mostly miners, earthmovers and masons. The leader of this sisterhood is always kept anonymous and only referred to as Ms. Bossee. It is said that these tired serfs of society established their illegal order after a group of miners had unearth the secrets to earths past and what could be its future.

In the age before the mugghee kings, during the magsee uprisings that lead to the Mahug expulsion from earth, the bossee used their knowledge of the past to seize power, gaining control over not only the planet but also the magsee. Earth became a global militaristic regime under the bossee. They attempted to bring the world back to the old ways. The ways of Tyrus, when women and men ruled together under the unity of military might.

After the Kreg Ny holocaust - a single attack, which destroyed much of the world - Human society, was re-organized by its new outer planetary master. A king was placed on earth to serve as governor. The magsee were restored to power and the bossee were forbidden.

Secretly the bossee still exist, waiting dormant to free earth from all nonhuman dominance. Waiting with the secrets and belief in the demigods from the old world that were buried within the earth. They preach that these war gods, once awakened would unite the people, restore the world and fulfill Tyrus's dream of a free earth. Memmon believes she has found one of these ancient deities, the war-god of the great flame known to her people as Rex-X1.

Guided by an ancient, guarded knowledge - Memmon discovers the Cube Chamber - and with the skill of a lifetime of training and preparation she restores life to one of the small flying laboratories....

Memmon guides the craft towards her target - the pulse of a single beating heart... The beating heart of Rex Trudeaux...

Revival

Memmon Atrusk finds Rex Trudeaux in the bowels of the ancient X1 Base - where he has been held in stasis for over 500 years...

She prepares to awaken him. During the Ghehod wars of the late twenty first century, Rex spent much of his time overseeing the unceasing upgrade of X1. He also kept up with his normal duties of security minister by keeping down sedition and outside infiltration of his sector. These attempts slowly diminished as Rex's image changed from insignificantly frivolous to unpredictably demented. Spies and seditionist were dealt with harshly, Rex having them peeled, filleted and even boiled alive publicly, all with the pageantry of a Christmas festival.

Rex was soon placed as vice governor under Pasco Bloom, a British sector diplomat. Governor Bloom ruled with indifference leaving much of government affairs to Rex. Over the next four years he would sculpt a mighty Siberian sectorial state. Upon the retirement of Pasco bloom, Rex was appointed Governor of the Sector of Siberia; however shortly after Rex took office Chairman Tyrus Trudeaux, ruler of the United Global Sectors was assassinated.

A new chairman came into power a year after Tyrus's demise. He was Linus Kenver Trudeaux, the second eldest son of Tyrus. Chairman Linus Trudeaux had no love and less tolerance for his cousin Rex; therefore his first act was to order the removal of the Siberian governor from office. Rex, whom had spent a year preparing for confrontation refused to step down, declared Siberia an independent state and he its supreme sectorial ruler. Though braced for battle, war quickly engulfed his sector. During the war Rex's insanity reached new levels, creating him new enemies, even from sectors once allied with him. The war did not go easy for either side. Chairman Trudeaux was fighting wars on three fronts, the Ghehod war against the alien plunderers, war with non-sectored nations hoping to seize more territory and civil war against the rogue Sector of Siberia. Rex used most of the secret weapons and programs at his disposal. He also used non-sector nation support and was able to hold off the majority of sectors that waged war against him; nevertheless, inevitably his madness began to affect his judgment. Supreme Governor Rex Trudeaux's Siberian empire was soon over run and conquered.

Chairman Linus Trudeaux discovered the secret X1 base shortly after the invasion of Siberia. Here he decided to imprison his cousin in sleep stasis sealed miles beneath Siberia to exist, but to be forgotten, to be alive; yet to be alone for all time. The X1 base would now become an insane asylum. A place buried deep within the earth that Linus would rename "Purgatory" and its only prisoner would be known as the inmate "REX-X1.

After 500years now free - clothed and lost - the once mighty tyrant cringes in fear from the girl who is his savior...

Over the next several months Memmon will care for Rex - restore his health - and educate him to the nature of and state of the world...the earth - now so alien to him...so unlike the earth of his past...the home he once knew.

It is an education of bewilderment...

The Re-education of Rex

Earth was put up for bid on an open inter-dimensional market. After several years the planet sold at a less than adequate price to a Spagoot ex-royal named Kreg Ny Vit, one of the last of a race of multi-dimensional weapons dealers who's empires in ancient days even engulfed the Ghehod as subjects. Now this two thousand year old daughter of a long gone warlord spends her retirement abroad. Kreg Ny was fascinated with earth's resistant reputation as untamable. She knew that earth’s inhabitants would present a challenge to tame. Kreg Ny decided the best solution was to demolish the surface of the planet using an offensive dimensional shift, whereas the earths crust was shifted across its mantle causing continents to crack, buckle and sink. Massive global volcanic reactions erupted and new landmasses formed. The world then began to cool off at an alarming rate and earth entered its next ice age.

There were surprisingly a fair number of survivors of the Kreg Ny Vit holocaust, but not enough to pose the slightest threat. Kreg Ny could now easily bring earth under control. She re-established human society, constructing it into a primitive neo-Amazon empire - holding it in check with restrictions on much technology. The bossee were banned and a king known as "the Mugghee" was created to rule over the existing sisterhoods with spooky male eunuchs called beghee to protect and enforce the kings will and a court of princesses "mugmagsee" to assist him in his duties. The magsee were reorganized as independent city and village chieftesses united under the king. All males other than the mugghee king were forbidden to live on earth and sent offworld. Other than these few restrictions humans lived freely on earth with out heavy occupation by offworlders. Kreg Ny Vit's cold and uncaring method of bringing the world under control had worked. Earth would now exist in a state of peace for years to come, but at a great cost. The offensive dimensional shift had permanently damaged earth. Global cooling had slowed down, but would continue indefinitely.

Rex was disturbed at this news, but very pleased to now be a god, it was about time his true potential had been recognized. The tyrant was anxious to see this new world of his, a world of amazon women. He would rule them, dominate them, they would bend to his every desire...every desire. They would never be allowed to tell their god no and they would love him for it. They would give him pleasure...but first would come the pain.
